Stardew Valley Keg: Various Ways to Use

Stardew Valley Keg is an Artisan Equipment device that can be used to make various beverages. If you complete the Artisan Bundle in the Pantry, you will receive a Keg as a reward. Stardew Valley has a number of items that can refine one good into another and increase the value of some items. Kegs are one of these items.

Brief on Stardew Valley Keg and how to make

In Stardew Valley, different products are made of different ingredients and processed in different ways. Be aware that processing time changes based on whether you’re awake or asleep. When you sleep, one hour is equal to 100 minutes, while when you are awake, it is equal to 60 minutes. Therefore, the more you sleep, the longer it takes to prepare beverages in your Keg. The following is a list of beverages with their ingredients and processing time:

  • Juice (Vegetables) – 4 days
  • Coffee (Coffee Bean) – 2 hours
  • Beer (Wheat) -1-2 days
  • Stardew Valley Wine (Fruits) – 7 days
  • Pale Ale (Hops) – 1-2 days
  • Mead (Honey) -10 hours
  • Juice (Vegetables) – 4 days

How to Make Stardew Valley Keg?

To unlock the crafting recipe for kegs, players must reach level 8 in farming. As soon as that is done, a keg can be crafted with 30 wood, 1 copper bar, 1 iron bar, and 1 unit of oak resin. In order to obtain the first three components, players will need to cut down some Stardew valley trees and logs, go mining, and then smelt the ore. To smelt a bar, you will need a furnace (crafted with 25 stone and 20 copper ore), 5 of one ore type, and coal.

After players have the wood and metal bars, only the oak resin remains. After reaching level 3 foraging, players will need to craft a tapper with 40 wood and 2 copper bars. The tapper can then be placed on an oak tree to produce oak resin about every week.

How can you use the Stardew Valley keg and more

Using kegs, you can make the following seven items:

  • Mead

Mead is made by using honey and waiting 10 hours. that sells for 200 gold.

  • Pale Ale

Pale ale is made from hops between one and two days and sells for 300 gold.

  • Wine

Using any fruit in a keg will result in a wine that sells for three times the price of the fruit after 6.25 days.

  • Beer

In order to make beer, wheat is placed in a keg for a day. Beer will be sold for 200 gold.

  • Coffee

In order to produce coffee, five coffee beans must be placed in a pot and allowed to simmer for two hours. A cup costs 150 gold. Notably, coffee can be used to increase the player’s speed to move faster.

  • Juice

Juice is made by putting in vegetables and waiting for 4 days. The juice will be produced whose sell price will be 2.25 times the base sell price of the vegetable used.

  • Green Tea

Green tea is made by using one bunch of tea leaves and waiting three hours. In addition to selling for 100 gold, green tea can temporarily increase max energy by 30 points for 4 minutes and 12 seconds.

However, obtaining tea leaves can be a bit more challenging than some of the other items. Stardew Valley’s travelling cart occasionally sells tea leaves from tea saplings in Cindersap Forest. Additionally, players can obtain them from Caroline’s tea sapling, but to do so, they need 2 hearts of affection from her. As a bonus, you’ll also receive a crafting recipe to make your own tea sapling when you gain access to this sapling. To make your own saplings, you’ll need 2 bags of seeds, 5 fibers, and 5 woods.

Stardew Valley’s casks can boost the quality of wine, mead, beer, and pale ale after they are produced in kegs. Several casks can be obtained with the final house upgrade, but more can be crafted with 20 wood and 1 hardwood. A cask will double the value of these four drinks if they reach iridium quality
